Laura Palmieri-Kaye

My name is Laura Palmieri-Kaye and I am Key Stage 1 co-ordinator, Phonics subject leader and SLE at Ripley Infant School. My passion has always been to give children an engaging and effective education and provide a positive experience. With most of my teaching experience being in Year 1 I am confident and secure with my Year 1 knowledge and would love to engage with others who need some support in becoming stronger and more confident in their teaching of a Year 1/ Key stage 1 classroom. I have been Phonics co-ordinator in multiple schools and have a strong knowledge on all areas of the teaching of Phonics such as; teaching and learning, assessment and tracking, intervention, parent involvement and the Year 1 Phonics Screening check. I am passionate about the importance of effective Phonics and would love to support others who want to improve Phonics in their schools.
